Fill out the form Below

Considering the pandemic is limiting regular gym participation, we have to adapt how we can while maintaining a good and healthy figure. Having some gym equipment at home is a good way to combat this, and because it’s easily accessible (thank you Amazon), you truly don’t have a reason not to buy some gear or equipment, it will undoubtedly stimulate you to use it, you paid for it after all.
What to Look Out for When Choosing New Equipment?
The first step when assembling your own personal exercise heaven is knowing what to look out for. There is a lot of gym equipment you can buy, but it’s an investment so you want to be as informed as possible. The most important questions you should ask are:
What do you want to work on?
It falls down upon a simple question: Cardio or strength-building? If you’re on a budget you have to think hard about what your focus is going to be.
What’s your price range?
Gym equipment can be cheap, but it can also be quite pricey. Depending on your budget, you can sacrifice some tech integration features but maintain the quality of the gear.
What’s the type of warranty on the equipment?
The more expensive the equipment, the more nervous you feel around it. Breaking the equipment can happen, pay attention as to what kind of warranty the equipment comes with.
What are other people’s experiences with this item?
Always look at the customer reviews. The equipment might look fancy but if the feedback has been negative then better look elsewhere.
Smart Treadmills
Treadmills are the most popular home exercise equipment. They are a cardio enjoyer’s best friend. It allows you to jog, walk, run, sprint, and even hike (although this is the more expensive option). Unlike other, more complex types of machinery, the treadmill is simple, accessible, and comfortable to use. However, they are also quite expensive, hard to assemble despite their easy usage, take up quite a bit of space, and are loud as hell! So if you live in a flat, immediately discard this as an option.
Just to make an example, fully inclined, the NordicTrack Commercial 2950 belt sits at around 17.25 inches off the ground. Take that into consideration + the height of the tallest person who is going to be using it, with that info in mind, you can make a rough estimate of whether it can fit in your house. More info on treadmill specifications can be found here. The most notable difference that you should look for in models is whether they can automatically adjust to your speed, incline, and decline. Smart treadmills usually give you access to multiple possibilities beyond just running, including strength and yoga.
Smart Stationary Bikes
Where the treadmill lacks, the stationary bike strives in. The main advantage of stationary bikes is that they are soundless. This means you can have one in your flat without disturbing your baby, neighbors, or significant other. It’s an extremely good way of exercising that will leave you drenched in sweat every time. It takes a bit of time to get used to due to the uncomfortable seat. Smart stationary bikes add to the experience, with competitive leaderboards, cool music, and hyped-up instructors. It gives you summaries upon finishing a session. A noteworthy model is the Echelon EX5S.
Smart Rowing Machines
Rowing is one of the most unique sports you can get into, and getting rowing equipment just spices it up. It offers one of the most effective forms of exercise, giving a full-body low-impact cardio workout with minimal stress on your knees and other joints. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s as easy and straightforward as running, it actually requires quite a bit of practice to get the hang of it and do it properly. Screw up and you risk damaging your back. Smart rowing machines like the Hydrow and NordicTrack RW900 breakdown techniques and strategies on how to grow properly and get the maximum efficiency out of it. Led by instructors, it offers a fully immersive experience with a variety of beautiful scenery while working out.
The PRx Performance Profile Squat Rack with Kipping Bar
If you like to lift heavy, this rack has you covered. It’s space-efficient, as you can fold it up once you’re done exercising, it remains bolted to your wall. It also includes the choice of a traditional, kipping, or multi-grip pull-up bar.
*Disclaimer: the barbells and weight plates come separately
When looking for squat racks, you should generally inform yourself of several things:

  • Weight capacity
  • Safety precautions
  • Ease of adjustment
  • Hole spacing
  • Verify product dimensions

The FLY BIRD Adjustable Weight Bench
Having six back and four-seat positions, the bench can easily support a full-body workout. It is made from high-quality steel and durable leather, making it a hard toy to break. It’s foldable, comes fully assembled, and can support up to 272 kg. This bench has the full package, allowing for a lot of maneuverability for using it.
The Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells
Dumbbells are one of the most universal gym equipment you can get for most work-outs. It’s low upkeep, doesn’t take up a lot of space (comparatively), and is usually quite cheap in comparison to other equipment. You usually need a dumbbell rack to keep them in, but not with the Bowflex SelectTech 552. These dumbbells don’t take up almost any space, offer 15 weights in 1, and are generally highly compact and effective.
The Rogue Rubber Coated Kettlebells
Kettlebells are known to be used for mostly the same exercises as dumbbells, but the big difference is that kettlebells are better for dynamic moves. What makes the Rogue Rubber Coated Kettlebell stick out is that it’s made out of a single-piece cast-iron providing an incredible degree of durability, ensuring lengthy usage, this is a product that is a great investment. The kettlebells are available in 5 weight increments: 12, 16, 20, 24, and 32 kg.
Finish it off With an Adequate Sleeping App
The best exercise plan in the world will not be anywhere near effective if you don’t get enough rest on a daily level. As you use your muscles during workout sessions, you have to get adequate sleep in order to let the muscles heal. Not just that, but you also need enough sleep in order to have energy the following day. You can see how this becomes a repeating spiral downwards. If you don’t get enough sleep on a daily level (or even too much) then it’s recommendable to install a sleep tracking app to keep tabs on the amount of time spent sleeping and regenerating.
