Precision Building Construction LLC has been selected to build the new headquarters for the United States Tennis Association – Florida Section at the Lake Nona Sports & Performance District. USTA Florida’s new headquarters will be adjacent to the USTA’s National Campus, which is scheduled to open to the public in January, with 100 tennis courts.
PBC expects to begin work on the USTA Florida building – a $1.4 million construction project – in early September. The approximately 10,000-square-foot building will house USTA Florida’s more than 30 program and administrative staff, a large conference room, two huddle rooms, changing rooms with lockers, several restrooms, and an outdoor covered patio. The lobby also will have a state-of-the-art, interactive media wall that will display information about tournaments, classes, membership, and bios of professional tennis players. Completion of
the USTA Florida building is set for next spring.
“Construction is about more than building structures; it’s building relationships and historical monuments for the future. The USTA Florida Headquarters is an integral part of a development that will change the landscape for tennis and sports in Orlando. It’s exciting for us to be part of something that will have a lasting impact on Central Florida and this community,” said Chuck
Hobus, PBC president.
“We were very impressed by the enthusiasm, input and professional knowledge we received from Chuck Hobus and PBC Vice President Larry LaPlant when we were interviewing prospective contractors for this project. We are very excited to partner with them to build the future home for Florida tennis,” said Doug Booth, executive director of USTA Florida.
This project marks an important addition to PBC’s impressive portfolio of clients in the medical, hotel, retail, restaurant and entertainment industries.
Throughout construction, PBC and USTA Florida plan to collaborate to give the community regular updates and live “look-ins” on social media as the project develops.
