US home construction picks up slowly in May

US residential construction starts rose 4.3% in May for an annual adjusted rate of 974,000 units, according to federal figures. The lower-than-forecast pace of resumption suggested that builders are only slowly getting back to work as coronavirus lockdowns ease. Read the The Associated Press story here
