Silver Ventures is excited to reveal the design for Oxbow, a new building and plaza being constructed along the Broadway corridor. The property is located just steps away from Pearl and will feature office, food and beverage, retail, and public spaces, continuing to revitalize the city center business district. Designed by local architect Don McDonald, the eight-story building is scheduled for completion in Q2 2020.

Created to encourage human connectedness and plaza-making, the premier offices will be situated among light-filled public spaces with storefronts, café patios, and tree-lined courtyards that blur the line between time to work and time to linger. The work of regional artists, artisans and sculptors will animate the spaces and reinforce the riparian valley context. The main entrance on Broadway will feature a 20’ tall ceramic mural by artist Diana Kersey.

“The Broadway corridor was the heart and soul of our city back in the day,” said Bill Shown, Managing Director of Real Estate for Silver Ventures. “We’re thrilled to see the energy returning to the area and our hope is that Oxbow will entice businesses to return to the city center and be a catalyst for future growth and energy.”

Oxbow will include four levels of parking, four levels of office, and ground floor retail and food/beverage, for a total of 110,096 square feet of commercial space. Consciously designed to conserve energy, Oxbow is slated to be platinum LEED-certified with rooftop solar, geothermal heating and cooling, advanced building envelope, and a substantial rainwater and condensate collection system. The building will be located next to the new corporate headquarters for Credit Human, a San Antonio-based credit union, with the two buildings sharing a plaza and community fountain along Broadway, and a park area at the corner of Grayson street that doubles as a LID feature to protect the San Antonio River.

Currently Oxbow has secured Bank of America as one of its confirmed tenants, with 30,000 square feet of office space remaining available for lease. The two ground-floor spaces at the Oxbow are designed to accommodate a limited-service restaurant/F&B provider and a retail/retail service provider. Additionally, the Credit Human building has a full-service restaurant space available for lease. CBRE has been engaged to oversee leasing and marketing of the Oxbow.
