Shopping centers are reinventing themselves

Retailers are departing retail centers as online shopping takes a bite out of their business, leaving malls to fill the empty spaces with entertainment venues or grocery stores. For example, Chicago’s Northside Riverside Mall leased space formerly occupied by Sears to a bowling alley and adding a virtual reality entertainment facility. Read the WBEZ-FM story here
