Restaurant chains test lockers for contactless pickup

Chains including KFC, Smashburger and Burger King have either already begun testing food lockers at some locations or will incorporate the features into new restaurant designs. Heated or cooled lockers keep contactless orders at the proper temperature until customers open them with a code and pick up their food, and some models incorporate UV light to kill bacteria.
