Report: U.S. hotel spending will be 33% higher in 2012

U.S. hoteliers will put about $5 billion into capital expenditures this year, according to a report by the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies. The expected spending is up 33 percent over last year’s figures and 85 percent over spending in 2010.
