New York’s construction employment rose 4.2 percent between December 2012 and January 2013, coming in second to Wyoming’s 4.6 percent gain. The jump in New York’s number can be attributed to the state’s rebuilding efforts post-Sandy, according to the Associated General Contractors of America. See the WRGB-TV story here.
