English retailer Mulberry Group opened its first store in the United States outside of New York and New Jersey in San Francisco. The design of the 3,100-square-foot store follows a prototype that London-based architecture and interior design firm Universal Design Studio developed for Mulberry flagships in London and New York. The look includes dark wood flooring and brass finishings. The store is one of 20 global stores the brand plans to open this year. Mulberry will open another U.S. store in Tysons Corner, Va., in the winter, with plans to open two to four additional West Coast stores within the next few years.
