Mall owners look to charter schools to fill vacancies

Shopping center owners are marketing empty stores to charter schools, which are required to finance school construction or leases on their own. The addition of the Gem Prep in the former Sears building at Idaho’s Pine Ridge Mall has increased foot traffic at the facility as parents shop and eat there. Read The Wall Street Journal story here
