Macy’s plans $235M redevelopment for Herald Square

Macy’s is proposing a plan to invest $235 million into redeveloping the area around its New York City flagship in Herald Square, including improvements to the subway stations and upgrades to make the plaza more pedestrian friendly. The move comes as the retailer is in ongoing talks with the city on a rezoning that would allow Macy’s to build an office tower on top of its existing store there. Read The New York Times story here
