Lendlease, a leading global real estate group, today announced the appointment of Ray Master as Head of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), Americas. Mr. Master will be based in Lendlease’s New York office, leading a team of 11 and will report directly to Chris Doyle, Group Head of EH&S.
In this role, Mr. Master will be responsible for the leadership and administration of the EH&S function for the company’s U.S. region, providing strategic direction for all Business Units to support safe outcomes, with the goal to further embed our commitment to the health and safety of our people, our subcontractors, and all of those who interact with a Lendlease place.
“Ray is a highly-respected leader and trusted expert in the EH&S field,” said Lendlease Americas Managing Director of Construction, Mike Fratianni. “With over three decades of experience with some of the most well-known organizations across the globe, Mr. Master will be instrumental to Lendlease as we work to further embed our culture of industry leading safety and care above all throughout our region.”

Mr. Master has over 30 years of experience, including ten prior years with Lendlease from 2000 -2010. During his brief hiatus from the firm, Ray worked for JMJ Associates in Australia and Washington State serving clients including Chevron and Boeing, focusing on both mega-project and enterprise-wide culture transformation for breakthrough safety performance. Additionally, Ray has held a number of safety-related roles in insurance/risk management, safety-critical project support for the U.S. Department of Energy, and various consulting assignments in real estate, transportation, infrastructure and healthcare/life sciences.
Mr. Master holds a BS and MS in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is board-certified safety professional as recognized by the U.S. Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
