JE Dunn Construction recently completed what Georgia State University is marketing as “GSU’s best option for brand new, all-inclusive, off-campus student living”—a 26-story residential tower of luxury apartments in a complex rich with amenities. The $63.8 million development known as The Mix—a five-minute walk from the Georgia State campus in downtown Atlanta — offers 237 units of one- to four-bedroom suite configurations and 685 new beds for the university’s growing student population.
Amenities include a 24-hour lobby attendant, designer appointed furniture packages, floor-to-ceiling windows, smart keyless entry locks and high-definitions televisions, as well as fitness center, library, rooftop deck with outdoor living room and grilling area, resort-style pool and clubhouse, internet café and Wi-Fi throughout the building.
The 467,125-square-foot tower is clad in glass, stucco and brick and incorporates 8,200 square feet of street level retail and a 78,379-square-foot secured parking deck.
A corner site that was originally occupied by a gas station, the intersection is now anchored by a new gas station and convenience store that are part of the development.
The Mix is the fifth recent project in JE Dunn’s partnership with South City Partners, a multi-family development company.
The Preston Partnership LLC is the architect of record.
