Interserv LP (https://www.interservlp.com), one of the nation’s premier companies providing renovation, remediation, and construction services to the hospitality industry, celebrates the nomination of Studio HBA’s Hampton Inn & Suites’ design for the 41st Annual Gold Key Awards in hospitality design. Recognized as one of the industry’s leading hospitality design consultants, Studio HBA partnered with Interserv LP in re-imagining common spaces and meeting areas to create a new experience for its clientele.
The scope of work amid the COVID-19 pandemic included renovation of the lobby, dining, breakfast, and patio areas, as well as transforming the interior pool into a meeting room and adding additional restrooms on the first floor. Interserv LP President of Operations Victor Garcia credits the collaboration with Studio HBA as the crucial factor contributing the project’s success. “Studio HBA’s vision and passion to elevate the client experience at the Hampton Inn and Suites set the tone for the renovation and provided the inspiration the project needed to continue during challenging times,” states Garcia.
Studio HBA’s praise of Interserv LP’s contribution underscores the team effort required to succeed. According to the Alisa Chodos, lead visionary and Principal of Studio HBA, “Interserv LP’s commitment to quality was integral to realizing our Hampton Inn Sherman Oaks design concept. We set out to create a little gem in the boutique hotel design tradition. The design reflects a playful interpretation of So Cal culture, the region’s bygone citrus groves and LA’s indoor/outdoor casual lifestyle. Interserv LP’s team, especially Israel Zuniga and Joseph White, tenaciously oversaw the subs to ensure that all facets of the design were fabricated and installed to meet very high standards. Interserv exhibited a real commitment to complete the project during the difficult and worrisome COVID-19 pandemic. The completed interior architecture reflects their careful attention to detail. We experienced a real team spirit between our team and theirs.”
The innovative Hampton Inn and Suites design was selected as of the top four finalists for the 2021 Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design, the industry’s oldest and most prestigious awards program for hospitality interiors, sponsored by Boutique Design magazine. The Gold Key judges selected these standout projects from a competitive field of nearly 400 submissions from more than 100 design firms around the world.
