Having worked for some of the industry’s leading development and design firms for over 25 years, Katherine Cortese and Mark Krejcarek launched Hospitality Design Guild, a boutique interior architectural design firm that is using a new model of collaborating across specialties to expand their services internationally.
Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, with an office slated to open in Dallas this autumn, the firm will be able to service existing clients in those markets and well beyond. With a core team that averages over two decades of experience in hotel, resort and residential design both nationally and abroad, Hospitality Design Guild can facilitate every aspect of a project from thought to fruition.
Closing in on 2 years in business, Hospitality Design Guild (or “HDG”), is the incarnation of Cortese’s and Krejcarek’s vision for a new model of collaboration in development. In a crowded playing field, what makes their group stand out is one thing: better service from a better assembled team. The duo created a group built on industry respected talent that is easy to work with and can scale appropriately to whatever needs the project demands. In short, a guild.
With an ever-expanding list of new clients and hospitality projects across the country, HDG is one of the fastest-growing new companies in the design space and takes pride in their mission of bringing true hospitality back into hospitality design. The guild presents an innovative approach to human-centered design, by empowering each member to exhibit their strong “Hospitality Quotient” (or “HQ”) and deliver the best customer service possible—a true white glove treatment for each and every project and client. So far, their new model has been well received.
