H&M has been pushing for transparency about its sustainability efforts, a goal that led the company to the unusual decision to release a list of its suppliers. The retailer is auditing factories to improve conditions, launched a recycling program that rewards shoppers with discounts for bringing in bags of old clothing, and became the largest global user of organic cotton last year.
