Harris Poll hints at start of restaurant recovery

Some 90 percent of American consumers dined out at least once during a month-long period earlier this year, with 54 percent eating at a local casual restaurant, 52 percent at a casual chain and 64 percent at a quickservice chain, while significantly fewer people ate at at fine-dining establishments, according to a Harris poll taken in mid-February.
