Gray is a color of compromise, born of the marriage of two “colorless colors”, black and white. Gray is solid and stable, both motionless and emotionless; it creates a sense of calm, and relaxation in a chaotic world. The closer it gets to black, the more dramatic and mysterious it appears, while the closer it gets to white or silver, the brighter and livelier it appears. Gray is a neutral color, which means it is safe to use in decorating. Together with gray bathroom tiles it can create an ideal backdrop for your room layout or be the main focal point of your bathroom. Let’s take a look at some ways to combine this neutral color.
Playing With Shades of Gray
As previously stated, gray can be used as the primary color in your bathroom. So, what are our options? By experimenting with gray’s tones, you can use it on your bathroom’s floor and wall tiles. We know you can do this in a variety of colors, but when it comes to gray, your bathroom cabinets and accessories can also be gray, making your bathroom elegant and modern rather than claustrophobic.
Of course, while doing this, the shades of gray are very important. The size of the tiles and how much light they reflect are also important factors to consider depending on the size of your bathroom. You can choose smaller, light-reflecting tiles for your small bathroom. There are more options for your large bathroom, but large and overly bright tiles should be avoided.
Combining With Black and White
Gray has a harmony with black and white, which are its parents, that no one can object to. In monochrome or patterned tiles, you can come across a lot of gray besides black and white. Maybe you can complete the rest of your bathroom with gray tiles after you bring out your shower with patterned tiles. If you have black tiles on your floor or if your accessories such as cabinets are black, gray tiles may still be among your first choices. At the same time, light gray tiles provide a bright and spacious bathroom with white accessories or white tiles.
Highlighting Harmonious Colors
Yellow always comes first among the colors compatible with gray. The vitality of yellow complements the gray and brings it to the fore. Other than yellow, the other color that comes to mind when gray is mentioned is blue. The natural vitality of blue can combine with gray to create a simple elegance. No matter how incompatible they may seem, pink is also a tone that goes well with gray. We recommend that you do not choose light colors together with dark gray tiles. On the other hand, you can combine almost any color with light gray tiles. We can recommend more pastel-toned tiles for this combination.
