Mall-based gift retailer Things Remembered filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday and plans to close about 250 stores and kiosks, according to The Wall Street Journal. The company hopes to sell 128 of its top-performing stores to gift distributor Enesco, with an auction set to take place March 5 if other bidders wish to submit offers.
