Darden debuts emergency pay plan, focuses on takeout

Darden Restaurants has created an emergency pay program for employees whose restaurants have been affected by closures and the CEO is foregoing his salary during the coronavirus crisis, the company said. The parent of chains including Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse has about 190,000 employees and plans to focus on growing takeout while dining rooms are closed.
