Dallas could get $983M downtown rail expansion

Dallas has moved up its timeline for its proposed $983 million expansion of transit services in the city because officials want the project completed before a private high-speed train between Dallas and Houston arrives. However, the location for the bullet train’s station in Dallas has yet to be announced, and if one of two alternatives near Interstate 45 is chosen, some of the city’s transit routes would need to be moved or built differently.
