Bakeries are on the rise in NYC

The pandemic has increased the popularity of comfort food and New York City bakers have delivered with new bakeries opening up across the city. They range from brick-and-mortar bakeries like Crop Circle, which specializes in stuffed Chinese flatbreads; to pop-ups and online-only operations like Joy Cho Pastry, run by a former Gramercy Tavern pastry cook from her apartment.
