With an invitation-only event, Amazon opened its first Fresh location in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Woodland Hills, with a public launch expected in the coming weeks. The 35,000-square-foot store features the debut of Dash Cart, which tracks items customers put in their carts and allows them to skip the checkout line; built-in Echo Show devices that let customers ask Alexa where certain items can be found and a dedicated pickup desk where shoppers can retrieve online orders.
