Welbilt, Inc. (NYSE: WBT), a leading global supplier of commercial foodservice equipment, announced today that its brand Kolpak® has designed a new, patented Era bracket technology offering superior floor strength for foot traffic and rolling carts. Kolpak now provides the highest rated floor in the industry.
Kolpak is the foodservice industry’s leader in the manufacture of custom walk-in coolers and freezers. Kolpak’s product offering includes refrigeration systems, self-contained walk-ins and step-ins, refrigerated warehouses, pre-assembled walk-ins, and walk-in accessories.
The new Kolpak®Era bracket eliminates the need for customers to have plywood underlay on foot traffic floors while enhancing its ability to handle light rolling cart traffic. Offering greater floor strength, the bracket is approved for up to 1,000 pounds per square foot uniform load that is built to last.
Larry Scallion, CFSP, Product Manager for Kolpak said, “We are always innovating and improving our products in order to make things better for our customers and we are proud to offer our customers a solid foundation for their walk-ins for many years to come.”
The improved design without plywood continues to meet NSF and DOE requirements. The new Kolpak Era bracket on structural floors with the addition of a 3/16” overlay provides superior strength that is necessary for keg coolers and other heavy rolling cart loads up to 5,000 pounds per square foot uniform load.
