Wayne Vandenbergh has joined the Madison office of R.A. Smith National — a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm — as project manager in the structural services division.
Vandenbergh has more than 25 years of structural design experience as a project manager and senior structural engineer. He has provided structural design services in the education, health care, civic, hospitality, municipal, industrial and commercial markets. Additionally, he has mentored individuals and led project teams as both lead structural engineer and project manager. His current projects include: security entrances for the School District of La Crosse, Wis.; Firefighters Credit Union, Onalaska, Wis.; and Allergy Associates of La Crosse, Onalaska, Wis. Vandenbergh is active in the Structural Engineers Association of Wisconsin, serving as the Legislative Committee Chair.
Vandenbergh holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Mich. He is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin, Ohio and Michigan.
Vandenbergh currently resides in Sun Prairie, Wis.
