One of the most ambitious lobby renovations in the Southeast is changing the way real estate investors and developers are doing business, by creating spaces that make employees want to come to the office instead of work remotely. The project at Three Ravinia Drive, a 31-story skyscraper in the upscale suburb of Dunwoody, GA, is the brainchild of CBRE Global Investors. The highlight: a four-story vertical wall filled with more than 15,ooo living plants – the largest living interior green wall in the United States.
Slated for completion in March, 2015, CBRE Global Investors is a leader in creating sustainable workspaces that attract tenants and keep their employees happily working in the office. “The plant tapestry in the lobby of Three Ravinia is truly one of the most exciting and ambitious renovations we’ve embarked upon,” says Eve Chambers, Marketing Director of CBRE Global Investors. “In an era where more employees are telecommuting, it’s our job to create spaces that are motivating and inspiring to encourage people to get up and actually come into the office instead of do their work from home.”
The Green Wall at Three Ravinia was designed by Architect Greg Shunick of G3 Architecture, a New York-based firm, and will officially debut in April, 2015. “Not only does this interior plant wall provide a visual element unlike any other space we’ve designed,” says Shunick, “but the plants help to oxygenate the air, creating a healthier environment for everybody. “ In addition to the thousands of plants and trees, all of the hard elements surrounding the installation were developed using recycled materials.
