Marsh announced today that Matthew Summers has joined the firm as Construction Leader for Marsh Wortham, a division of Marsh that comprises its Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma offices.
In this role, Mr. Summers is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of Marsh’s industry-leading insurance and risk advisory solutions to construction clients across the region. He reports to David Marino, Marsh’s US Construction Leader, and is based in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Summers joins Marsh from Willis Towers Watson where he most recently served as North America Project Insurance Practice Leader overseeing the national sales, marketing, account management and implementation of owner controlled insurance programs (OCIPs), contractor controlled insurance programs (CCIPs), and project programs across North America.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Marino said: “The Texas and surrounding areas are among the fastest growing economies in the US. We are pleased to have someone with Matt’s experience and industry knowledge lead our construction strategy in this region.”
Mr. Summers added: “Owners, contractors, and developers are facing an ever-evolving risk landscape. I look forward to working with the talented group of construction colleagues at Marsh Wortham to meet the needs of our clients.”
