Several states have shut down most commercial activity during the coronavirus pandemic but have exempted construction, and leaders in the industry want it to stay that way. Construction work is “vital and essential to the critical industries that must remain in operation,” say AGC CEO Stephen Sandherr and Sean McGarvey, president of North America’s Building Trades Unions.
