Hotel firms including Wyndham Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels, La Quinta Holdings and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide are planning to expand in Latin America, drawn by the region’s economic growth and the accompanying rise in travel demand. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts last year opened its first hotels in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia and hopes to open its first Nicaraguan property next year. Hyatt Hotels is developing 10 properties in Mexico and Central America through a master development agreement with LATAM Hotel Corp. Read the Hotel Management online story here
