Johnson Controls announced that for the fifth consecutive year it will sponsor and participate in the Massachusetts Conference for Women on Dec. 6, 2018, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston. The event will feature Kristy Dunchak, senior director of Product Management for Converged Solutions, Building Technologies & Solutions for Johnson Controls, as a panelist discussing how turning your personal mission into your purpose at work can have lasting effects in your life and the world around you. During the show, the Johnson Controls booth will also feature presentations by key employees who will discuss the importance of women in technology.
In the session entitled “Authentic Activism: Creating Change from 9-to-5…and Beyond,” Dunchak will share her personal journey on the road to a life of meaning – personally and professionally.
The 14th annual Massachusetts Conference for Women is a one-day event that brings together 10,000 active professional women from across the world to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond, through nationally recognized speakers, workshops, and seminars. One of this year’s keynote speakers is Amal Clooney, a British human rights lawyer practicing at Doughty Street Chambers in London, where she specializes in international law and human rights.
As part of the Conference, Johnson Controls will also participate as an exhibitor. The theme of the booth is “Smart Women Developing Solutions for Smart Buildings Around the World,” where Karen Stein, president/CEO of Marketing Matters, an independent consulting firm in Greater Boston, along with Dunchak and several key Johnson Controls executives will provide insight into the importance of women in technology fields to further innovation, research and technology.
Dunchak is senior director of Product Management for Tyco Converged Solutions, Building Technologies & Solutions at Johnson Controls. With over eighteen years of B2B marketing experience, she has a history of success creating and driving go-to-market strategies and new product development. In recognition of her accomplishments, she received an “Up and Coming” Leader Woman of the Future award from WEST (Women Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology).
“It is an honor to be a part of this year’s Massachusetts Conference for Women and join my colleagues along with many inspiring leaders who share their stories to the help women with their personal and professional journey,” said Dunchak. “How we drive change is influenced by our core values and principles. When merged with tools such as empathetic listening to learn and understand, leveraging a diverse team’s experiences and being an expert in your field, you can build credibility and expand your influence to drive meaningful change. I’ve had many lessons learned in my own journey that I look forward to sharing at this year’s event.”
