Celebrating 25 years of innovation, B2W Software, a leading provider of heavy construction management software, reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to leading the digital transformation in heavy construction with significant enhancements to its popular estimating solution. Used today by tens of thousands of estimators across North America to manage complex, competitive bids on accelerated deadlines, B2W Estimate™ has become the go-to solution for contractors looking to replace spreadsheets, paper-based processes and the frustration of outdated technology.
B2W Software was founded in 1993 when it introduced one of the first-ever specialized applications for heavy construction estimating. The company has since revolutionized the way that owners, estimators, operations and financial leaders calculate and manage project profitability. B2W has expanded its product platform to include solutions for resource scheduling and dispatching, field tracking and analysis, equipment maintenance, safety and data capture.
B2W products form a unified platform for estimating and operations – The ONE Platform. This alternative to disparate software solutions eliminates redundant data, allows real-time collaboration across workflows and provides data-driven insight for managing personnel, jobs and equipment.
“Our ONE Platform works the way heavy construction works and integrates seamlessly with leading ERP and accounting systems,” said Paul McKeon, founder and CEO of the New Hampshire-based company. “This is a model our clients are leveraging to accelerate software advantages in the field as well as the office, unify their workflows and improve profitability.”
McKeon emphasized that B2W has grown its revenue, client base and technology platform organically since inception. “This has given us the stability and the autonomy to reinvest heavily in our products and support capabilities according to the requirements of our clients,” he added.
Highlights of the recent enhancements to the company’s flagship estimating product, B2W Estimate, include:
· Updates to the underlying product architecture, which enable faster processing of complex bids against larger cost-item databases – positioning the product and platform for optimal performance well into the future;
· Improved usability through the implementation of modern user interface standards and natural language search capabilities that provide both seasoned estimators – as well as those just entering the field – with more of what they love about B2W Estimate – intuitive ease of use instead of complicated code names and extra clicks;
· Enhanced connectivity within the B2W ONE Platform, making it easier to schedule resources and plan work according to how an estimate is developed and improving future estimates based on actual field performance data.
In addition to maintaining its leading position among estimating solutions for heavy construction, in 2018 B2W expanded its sales and support team by 30% and doubled the size of its Atlanta-area sales and service facility to meet growing demand for its solutions. B2W clients range from mid-size paving, excavating and site construction contractors to enterprises completing large-scale bridge, highway, energy, utility and specialized infrastructure projects.
“We will continue to drive the industry shift from spreadsheets and paper with our innovative ONE Platform, and through the talent of the B2W team supporting it and the input of our customers – many of whom have been with us for decades,” said McKeon. “B2W is truly empowering the heavy construction industry and we look forward to the next 25 years.”
