ALDI’s growth plans to increase grocery competition in S. Calif.

ALDI will open at least 20 new stores in Southern California’s $45 billion grocery market within the next year, in addition to the 38 stores it currently operates there. Food retailers with a presence in the already-competitive region include Ralphs, Albertsons, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Sprouts and Whole Foods. Read the Los Angeles Times story here
