Online florist and gift retailer 1-800-Flowers is expanding its network of franchised brick-and-mortar stores in 10 U.S. markets, including the Boston area where it has one store and plans to add about 10 more. Last year, the company’s 8.7 million online and phone orders were filled by 225 franchise stores and nine company-owned locations, as well as a network of 7,000 independent shops.
